PRESIDENT'S LEMON BARS 
1 c. butter
2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 c. all-purpose white flour

FILLING:

4 tbsp. lemon juice
Grated rind of 2 lemons
4 eggs, well beaten
2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. all-purpose white flour
1 c. shredded coconut (optional)

Thoroughly mix crust ingredients in mixing bowl. Spread out in greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees then cool thoroughly.

Mix all filling ingredients. Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees 25 minutes. Cool thoroughly. Then cut into small bars. 2 dozen bars.
