OLD TIMEY EGG CUSTARD 
3 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour (mix with sugar)
1/2 tsp. nutmeg or 1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter

Beat eggs, sugar and flour until mixed well. Heat milk to scald with butter, but do not let boil. Add to egg mixture and pour into 9" crust. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until done.
