OLD-TIMEY APPLE PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
6-8 tart apples, peeled and sliced
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp. lemon rind, grated
2 tbsp. butter

Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and flour in large bowl. Add sliced apples and mix so they are coated. Place apple slices in pie pan. Lay slices first along the outside and work in toward the center. Sprinkle with lemon juice and rind and dot with butter. Bake at 425 degrees for 50-60 minutes until apples are done and the crust is a golden brown.
