4 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar (add to whites before beating)

Beat egg whites very stiff and gradually add sugar. When all sugar is beaten in thoroughly, add vanilla. Pour into well greased and floured ovenproof pie plate and bake in slow oven (300 degrees) for 1 hour. Remove from oven and gently press back of spoon over entire torte. Cool. This torte should now be filled.

Spread 1 pint whipped cream over entire torte and then add your favorite fruit. (Strawberries, canned peaches etc.) Refrigerate a couple of hours.
