SQUASH MERINGUE CAKE | |
4 c. mashed squash 6 egg yolks 1/2 c. Pet milk 1 1/2 c. yellow cake mix 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. sugar Mix all ingredients and put in a 13 by 9 inch pan. Cook at 400 degrees until almost done. Finish cooking 300 degrees until cake tester inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool. TOPPING: 1 lg. instant vanilla pudding 6 egg whites Prepare pudding according to directions and spread over cake. Cover with whipped egg whites (meringue). Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until meringue is light brown. |
