PRUNE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. Wesson oil
3 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed, cooked prunes
2 c. plain flour
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 stick butter

Mix all together. Bake 340 degrees about 35 minutes or until done. Make sauce and bring to a boil. Pour over cake while warm.
