1 c. flour
1 c. water
1/2 c. salt
1 tbsp. cream of tartar
1 tbsp. cooking oil
Few drops food coloring

Mix all ingredients in a pan and cook on high, stirring constantly. Remove from heat when play dough reaches correct consistency. Cool. Play dough will last a long time if stored in a plastic bag or refrigerator bowl. Recipe does not work well if doubled.
