JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
3 or 4 lg. apples
1/2 c. granulated sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon

Grate apples and blend with cinnamon and sugar. Set aside.

BATTER:

3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. oil
4 lg. eggs
1/4 c. pineapple or orange juice
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat all ingredients together. Pour 1/2 the batter into a greased tube pan. Topped by 1/2 the filling. Pour remainder of batter over the filling; top again with apple filling as a topping. Bake in preheated oven to 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Does not need frosting.
