BRISKET 
4-5 lb. brisket
1 (1 oz.) pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 (5 3/4 oz.) can mushroom gravy mix
2 med. onions, sliced in rings
1/2 c. red wine
3 med. potatoes, quartered
Carrots, sliced into chunks

Place meat in baking pan. Sprinkle with soup and gravy mixes. Put the onion rings on top of the meat. Put the wine and potatoes around the meat. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours, covered. Add the carrots around the meat and bake for an additional 2-3 hours, covered. Serves 15-20.
