HOMEMADE VANILLA ICE CREAM 
5 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla, adjust to taste
1 lg. can evaporated milk
1 qt. half and half
Approximately 1 1/2 pt. homogenized milk

Beat eggs until thoroughly liquified. Mix in sugar, salt, vanilla with enough milk to dissolve completely. Add evaporated milk and half and half.

Pour into 1 gallon ice cream freezer. Fill to full line with homogenized milk. Fill freezer bucket with ice generously adding rock salt as bucket is being filled. Freeze until dasher will no longer turn.

Drain water from bucket. Remove dasher, replacing lid on can and plugging hole on top. Refill bucket with ice and rock salt. Let set for 1/2-1 hour.
