COFFEE CAKE 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
6 or 6 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. butter
1 lg. can Carnation milk
5 egg yolks

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Sift 6 or 6 1/2 cups flour, sugar, and salt. Add 1/2 pound butter and make fine meal. Add Carnation milk and 5 egg yolks and stir in bowl. Add yeast mixture and add flour. Knead in bowl until stiff dough. Rest in refrigerator 5 or 6 hours. Then roll out and bake.

POPPY SEED FILLING:

1/2 c. poppy seed
1/2 c. sugar
Apple, grated
