CRAN-APPLE PIE 
CRUST:

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
5 to 7 tbsp. cold water

FILLING:

3 c. peeled and chopped apples
2 c. cranberries
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. ground cloves

1. Mix together flour and salt. Cut in shortening until crumbly.

2. Mix in water by tablespoons until a dough is formed.

3. Roll out half of dough on a floured board. Place into a 9 inch pie pan.

4. Mix filling ingredients. Turn into crust.

5. Roll out other half of dough on a floured board. Place on top of pie or cut into circles.

6. Trim edges and crimp with fork tines or place circles on top of filling.

7. Bake pie at 400 to 425 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
