MOM'S BEST AFTER SCHOOL PEANUT
BUTTER BROWNIES
 
2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. baking cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. (2 sticks) butter or shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
4 lg. eggs
1/4 c. milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 17x11 inch or 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch pan. In large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder. In another bowl, beat together the butter and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and milk. Mix dry ingredients into peanut butter mixture, until smooth. Spread into greased pan. Bake bars 20-25 minutes until toothpick inserted in middle of pans comes out clean.

OPTIONAL: Frost cooled bars by drizzling tops with 1/2 cup melted chocolate chips, mixed with 1 tablespoon of butter. Then dust with powdered sugar.
