HOT TAMALE PIE 
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground meat
1 can tomato sauce
1 clove garlic or 1 tsp. garlic powder
3 med. onions, chopped
3 tbsp. chili powder
2 c. grits, cooked

Cook meat, onions, garlic until meat loses its red color. Add tomato sauce plus 1 can water. Add chili powder. Simmer 10 minutes. Prepare grits by directions on the box to make 2 cups cooked grits. After the meat has finished simmering spoon grits on top of meat mixture. Simmer 8 to 10 minutes.
