BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. Kellogg's All Bran
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. raisins

Combine All Bran and milk; let stand until most of the moisture is taken up. Add egg and shortening; beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Stir in raisins. Add to first mixture, stirring ONLY UNTIL COMBINED. Fill muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes. Yield: 10 to 12.
