FRIENDSHIP CAKE | |
DAY 1: You receive the base. Pour it into a large bowl and stir. Cover it lightly and leave on counter. (If you haven't received base, mix together 1/3 cup flour, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/3 cup milk. Start from Day 1 of recipe). DON'T REFRIGERATE! DAYS 2-4: Stir one time a day only. DAY 5: Add 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour and 1 cup sugar. Mix well. Recover after you mix each day. DAYS 6-9: Stir 1 time a day only. DAY 10: Same as day 5. Mix well. On day 10, after completing directions, take 3 cups of base out and put in small containers. Give each of the one cup containers to 3 friends with directions. (You can keep one for yourself if you want). 2 cups friendship starter 2/3 c. oil 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 2 c. flour 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. baking powder Beat until smooth. Add any or all of the following: apples, nuts, raisins, rum flavoring or nothing. (Use your imagination!) Bake in greased and floured pan of your choice for 50 minutes at 350°F. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or spread your favorite frosting. IMPORTANT: This mixture will get bubbly and get a yeasty smell to it. This is normal so don't worry about it.
