BUTTERMILK ROLLS 
4 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. warm water
1 packet yeast
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. shortening, melted

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add buttermilk and shortening. Sift all dry ingredients, add slowly to liquids. Knead until smooth. You can roll out and cut with cutter or pinch out. Let rise. Bake at 350 degrees until golden.
