MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE | |
2 sticks butter 1 sm. can coconut 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour 1 tsp. vanilla 4 eggs 2 c. sugar 4 tbsp. cocoa Dash of salt 1 c. pecans, chopped Mix together and bake in prepared oblong (9 x 13 inch) cake pan at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. Take out and spread with: Top while hot, then cool before frosting. FROSTING FOR MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE: 1 box powdered sugar 1 stick butter 1 c. pecans, chopped 1 tsp. vanilla 1/3 c. cocoa Enough milk for easy spreading Mix all ingredients, except pecans. Stir in pecans last, then frost. |
