LEMON EXTRACT CAKE | |
1 lb. butter 2 1/3 c. sugar 6 eggs 3 oz. lemon extract 4 c. sifted four 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 lb. candied cherries, cut 1/4 lb. raisins 4 c. chopped nuts Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well and add lemon extract. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add fruit and nuts. Bake at 300 degrees 1 1/2 to 2 hours in a loaf pan. Bake 2 1/2 to 3 hours in tube pan. |
