BEST EVER CARAMELS 
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. heavy cream
3/4 c. butter
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugars, syrup, cream, milk and butter. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally to "firm ball" stage (248 degrees). Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Pour into 8 x 8 inch pan. Cool. When firm turn out on board and cut into squares. Wrap individual pieces in wax paper.
