Awesome recipe! Used white flour instead of whole wheat. Turned out really thick so I thinned it with a little milk. Yummy!

Good recipe, don't worry about it being runny, sticks to sausage & rises in oil so any thin patches get covered. Sugar gives a nice taste to the batter.

Not much of a chef myself I tried this recipe and the result was terrific. I was worried because I saw the batter a little runny but it worked really well.

I used some rather large German Sausages and Pepperjack Sausage... Awesome!

This recipe is fantastic! Batter is so light and fluffy! Unexpected since it calls for whole wheat flour. Also, I forgot to add the egg and it STILL came out DELICIOUS! Not sure what benefit egg would have offered so consider it optional.

Just tried this recipe for batter. MMMMMM! Best batter I've ever tasted. Best with cooked cold (jumbo breakfast) sausages. Yummierz.
