BUTTERSCOTCH CHEWY CAKE 
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) box brown sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped pecans

Beat eggs in boiler until blended. Add 1 (16 oz.) box brown sugar and 1 tablespoon butter; mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until hot, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add 1 1/2 cups sifted flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder all at once. Mix well until blended. Stir in 1 cup chopped pecans and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into well greased and slightly floured oblong pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from stove and cool in pan before cutting into squares.
