RUBY GARR'S "UM, UM, GOOD"
LASAGNA
 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. onions
1 tsp. crushed pepper
1 tsp. oregano
2 c. Cheddar, Mozzarella or a combination of both
1 can tomato sauce
1 egg
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
12 oz. cottage cheese
6 lasagna noodles
1 can tomato paste add extra garlic powder

Crumble ground meat in a pan until brown. Add chopped onions and garlic, simmer together until onions and garlic are softened. Add remaining seasonings, tomato paste, tomato sauce and water. Add extra garlic powder for taste. Cook noodles and rinse with cold water.

Mix cottage cheese and egg in a bowl. Spread 3/4 of meat sauce in an oblong casserole dish. Lay three noodles and add 3/4 more of the meat sauce, half of the egg mixture and half of the grated cheese. Add 3/4 more of the meat sauce, egg mixture and remaining cheese. Top it with 3 noodles. Add remaining meat sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
