GRANDMA'S CHRISTMAS CRUNCHIES 
A 1975 recipe from my Grandma.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 cup cornflakes
1 cup oats
1/2 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream butter, add sugar then egg and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture. Last add cornflakes, oats, coconut flakes and chopped nuts. Roll into small balls and place about 2-inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes.

Makes 6 dozen cookies.
