MEXICAN PIZZA | |
1 ready to spread Pillsbury pizza crust 1 lb. ground beef OR 1 lb. chicken breast sliced into bite-size pieces A large onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chiles, drained 1 (8 oz.) jar taco sauce 2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese Sliced ripe olives Prepare pizza crust according to directions. Bake at 400-425 degrees for 10 minutes. Cook meat, onion, and garlic in skillet over medium high heat until browned; drain. Layer meat, chiles, taco sauce, cheese and olives on baked crust. (Layer in order.) Cover edge of crust with 2-3 inch strip of foil. Bake 10 minutes; remove foil. Bake until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly in center--about 10 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes. Slice and serve. Serves 6. |
