SNICKERDOODLES (COOKIES) 
3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cinnamon Sugar:

3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Stir together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Melt butter. Add the 2 cups sugar and stir until fluffy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients slowly; beat well until blended. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with bottom of glass. Bake at 375°F for 8 minutes. Cool on wire rack.

Makes 5 dozen.
