SOUR MILK CORNBREAD 
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. shortening, melted
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
3/4 c. flour

Beat eggs slightly, add milk and shortening. Mix remaining ingredients together. Add to egg mixture and beat well. Pour into hot greased iron skillet. Bake at 400 degrees 20 to 25 minutes. Serves 6.
