CHILI CON CARNE 
1/2 c. onions, chopped fine
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped fine
1/4 c. celery, chopped fine
1 clove garlic, chopped fine
1 lb. ground beef
2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. chili powder
2 1/2 c. red kidney beans

Saute onions, pepper, celery and garlic until lightly browned. Add meat and fry only until brown, not dark. Add tomatoes, sugar, salt, and chili powder. Cover and bring to a boil. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add kidney beans and cook for 15 minutes. Serves 6.
