AUNT RUBY MC COLLEY'S CALA LILIES | |
3 eggs 1 c. sugar Beat 10 minutes and add: 3 tbsp. cold water Sift together and add: 1 1/2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cream of tartar Beat all together for 3 minutes. Drop by tablespoons on greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, until light brown and while still warm, roll into the shape of a cornucopia and tie with a string to keep shape. When cool, fill with sweeten flavored whipped cream. Add powdered sugar to an egg yolk, beat until stiff enough to hold its shape. Use a little of this to form stamen. This dessert will resemble a Cala lily in appearance. |
