MO'S BANANA CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
4 tbsp. nonfat plain yogurt (or use sour cream)
2 eggs
1 c. mashed bananas
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar, shortening and yogurt. Mix in eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 50 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed well
1/2 c. yogurt or sour cream
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Boil until forms a soft ball in cold water. Add nuts, cool until it is partially set. Spread on cooled cake.
