RED CHERRY PIE 
3/4 c. juice from cherries
3/4 c. sugar
Red food coloring
3 or 4 drips almond extract
Dash salt
Pastry for 8" pie
1 1/2 tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can (2 c.) tart red cherries (water pack), well drained
1 tbsp. butter

Combine first 7 ingredients; let stand 20 minutes. Line 8" pie plate with pastry; fill with cherry mixture. Dot with butter. Adjust lattice top seal. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.
