MARASCHINO CHERRY ICE CREAM 
1 c. flour
3 c. sugar
1 jar maraschino cherries, quartered
cherry juice from cherries
4 eggs
1 quart cream
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)

Combine flour and sugar. Stir in milk and cherry juice. Heat mixture until hot, stirring constantly. Beat eggs slightly in bowl. Put some of the hot milk mixture in eggs, adding slowly as to not cook the eggs. Pour egg mixture into rest of hot mixture; continue to cook until mixture is slightly thick. Add maraschino cherries, cream, vanilla, almond extract and nuts. Pour into ice cream freezer container; cool. Freeze using ice cream freezer instructions.

Makes 6 quarts.

I haven't tried this yet but must tell my pet peeve about all recipes... you don't give the size jar or ounces of cherries. This is a critical factor for most most recipes. I do appreciate getting the yield factor but would also like the size of servings stated. Thanks for improved future recipes! ;)))
