CHINESE BEEF WITH SNOW PODS 
2 lb. round steak, sliced into thin strips
10 1/2 oz. can condensed beef consomme
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 bunch green onions, sliced
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. water
2 (7 oz.) boxes frozen snow pea pods, partially frozen

Combine first 5 ingredients in large pan and cover, simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to pan. Cook until thickened. Add partially thawed pea pods and cook 5 to 7 minutes longer. Serve over hot rice or Chinese noodles. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
