MANDARIN ORANGE CAKE 
1 c. flour
1 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 sm. can Mandarin oranges

GLAZE:

1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. butter

Put all the ingredients (except glaze ingredients) into a bowl. Mix well and pour into an 8 x 8-inch pan (or 7 x 9-inch). Bake for 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Meanwhile, combine the glaze ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil. Pour over the baked cake while it is still warm. Spread evenly. Serve with Cool Whip.
