OMISO-SHIRU 
5 c. water
1/2 lg. carrot, chopped
1/2 lg. gobo (burdock root), shaved
1/2 lg. onion, chopped
Wakame (seaweed), soaked 3 minutes, cleaned, drained and cut into 1 inch pieces
1/4 c. red or white miso
