SHERRIED BEEF 
This came from a dear friend and is simple and delicious. It's great to put in the oven and forget it and come home to a heavenly aroma and dinner almost ready!

1 1/2 lbs. beef cubes, fat removed
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
3/4 c. sherry wine
Mushrooms (optional)

Mix soups and wine together. Pour over beef in baking dish. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 275 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Add water if necessary to make sauce. Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 4.
