ICED APPLE BROWNIES 
3 eggs
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. shortening or oil
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. finely chopped apples

ICING:

1/2 c. butter
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped
1/2 (8 oz.) box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream eggs with sugar and shortening. Add cinnamon and nuts. Stir in dry ingredients and apples. Pour into 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

Icing: Beat all ingredients until smooth. Spread on cooled brownies. Sprinkle nuts on top. If frosting is too thick, add a little milk.
