CRANBERRY NUT BREAD 
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cranberries, coarsely chopped

Mix dry ingredients in bowl. Cut in shortening. Stir in orange juice and egg just to moisten. Fold in nuts and cranberries. Push dough into corners of greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely. Wrap and store overnight before slicing.
