SNOWBALLS 
1 c. unsalted butter (soft)
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour, all-purpose
1 c. chopped pecans/walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, cream the butter until fluffy. Slowly beat in the sugar, then the vanilla. Beat in the flour and the nuts (should be finely chopped) until the mixture forms a ball of dough. Divide the dough into 48 pieces; shape into balls between hands. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly on wire racks. Dust cookies thickly with more powdered sugar. Cookies should be small.
