BANANA NUT BREADS | |
1/2 c. shortening 1 1/3 c. sugar 2 large, ripe mashed bananas 2 tbsp. milk 2 eggs 1 3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. chopped nuts Cream together shortening and sugar; add mashed bananas and milk, and mix well. Add eggs and blend well. Mix together flour, soda, baking powder, salt and nutmeg, and add to mixture. Fold in nuts and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until tested done. Cool on racks. |
