PASKA
14 c. flour
4 eggs, beaten
1/4 lb. Crisco
1 lg. cake yeast
1 c. sugar
1 qt. milk, scalded, then cooled to lukewarm
1/4 lb. butter
1 tbsp. salt

Soften yeast in lukewarm milk. Add sugar, salt and melted Crisco and butter. Stir until dissolved. Add eggs, then gradually add flour, just enough to make a stiff dough. Knead well.

Place ball in greased bowl, grease top and let rise for 1 1/2 hours or until double in bulk. Knead again and let rise a second time. After second rising, shape into 4 loaves. Place in greased pans. Let rise 45 minutes. Brush top with beaten egg. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Decorate as desired. Makes 4 loaves.
