ONE BOWL SUGAR COOKIES 
2 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. butter (2 sticks), softened
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 lg. eggs
1 2/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Into large bowl, measure flour, butter, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, vanilla extract, eggs and 1 1/4 cups sugar. With mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until well blended, occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Shape dough into a ball; wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate dough 2 hours or until easy to handle.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In small bowl mix cinnamon with 2 tablespoons sugar. With hands, shape dough into 1 1/2 inch balls. Roll balls into cinnamon mixture to coat lightly. Place dough balls about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 until lightly browned.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
