GUMDROP OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. oatmeal (minute)
1/2 c. gumdrops, cut fine
1/2 c. grated or shredded coconut

Cream shortening and sugars, add eggs, water and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Add baking powder, soda, salt, flour, lightly stir in oats and gumdrops. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
