1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. water
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped peanuts

Heat oven to 370 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix all ingredients except chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in pan. Bake 20 minutes. Sprinkle on chocolate chips. Cover with foil until chips melt. Press in chopped peanuts and cut into squares.
