1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. fruit cocktail, drained

Combine all in mixing bowl. Pour into 8 x 8 inch greased pan. Sprinkle top with 1/2 cup brown sugar and if wanted a few chopped nuts. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
