APPLE RAISIN BETTY 
4 c. cored and sliced cooking apples
1/3 c. raisins
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. water
1/4 c. all purpose flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 c. corn flakes, crushed to 1/2 c.
1/3 c. butter

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 8 inch square baking pan. Place apples and raisins in pan. Combine lemon juice and water; sprinkle over fruit.

Mix together flour, sugars, and spices. Blend thoroughly. Stir in corn flakes. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit. Bake about 35 minutes or until apples are tender and top is lightly browned. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping.
