SOUR PICKLES 
Cucumbers, 2 to 4 inches long
4 qt. vinegar
1 c. sugar
1 c. pickling salt
1 c. dry mustard
1/4 c. pickling spices

Combine vinegar, sugar, salt and mustard. Mix well. Add spices and mix well. Clean cucumbers, leaving on 1/4 inch of stem. Wash and sterilize jars. Fit cucumbers into jars. Stir in vinegar mixture. Fill jar 1/8 inch from top. Keep lids clean.
