OATMEAL BREAD 
2 c. oatmeal in 2 c. scalded milk
2 c. hot water
1/2 c. lard
2 yeast cakes
1/4 c. molasses and 2 berry spoonfuls
1/2 c. white sugar
A little salt
8 1/2 - 9 c. white flour
Raisins may be added

Put oatmeal in large pan. Pour scalded milk over. Soak yeast in water. Mix all the rest and put into oatmeal mixture. Mix all together. Add flour to make a soft dough. Knead good. Let rise once. Knead down. Let rise and then shape into loaves. Bake at 325 degrees for 3/4 to 1 hour.
