APPLE CRUMB BAKE 
3 lb. apples, about 12
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and slice apples into a 9 x 12 inch pan. Sift dry ingredients together in medium bowl. Add whole egg, and work together with fork until crumbly. Pour melted butter over crumbs, mixing well. Cover apples with crumbs and bake for 40 minutes.

For richer dessert, top with sour cream, whipped cream or ice cream.
