ORANGE PRUNE NUT BREAD | |
2 tsp. shredded orange peel 1 c. orange juice 1 c. dried prunes, chopped 2 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 eggs, beaten 2 tbsp. salad oil 1/2 c. nuts, chopped Combine orange peel, juice and prunes. Let stand 1/2 hour. Combine eggs, oil and orange mixture; add to sifted dry ingredients, mix well. Add nuts. Bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 55 minutes in greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Cool 10 minutes on cake rack. |
